(Price: $18k, Location: TX) The perfect E46 M3: Laguna Seca Blue with all potential motor and suspension / subframe issues addressed and “show quality” clean. We don’t doubt that this car places at every show it participates in, and check out the exhaust note in the video below – sounds incredible. The most perfect LSB E46 M3 on the market right now, more from the owner at the original thread here.
Incredible Sound
Details from the Owner:
Car looks Identical to the last two pictures,I was asked if the stickers were still on the car and they are not. that was show thing for some sponsors. Clean title, 2 “minor”incidents on car fax, 1 was a bump in the rear bumper that was claimed I guess because the previous owner wanted to get some free money….any ways the stock diffuser was damaged, which explains where the scratches came from on it when I bought it. I promptly threw this in the trash and replaced it with the carbon/color matched csl piece. the second one involved a ditch and was classified as minor incident so i assume he slid into a ditch and damaged the driver fender. this was fixed at the BMW dealer in N.C. and the car has no line up issues what so ever. further more all suspension components on the car have since been replaced soooo need not worry. None of these obviously present a problem today but since I am getting alot of offers I figured I would go ahead list the history.Oh yea this car was imported from the Bahamas when it started its life. just a fun fact.
I have been getting some things back up to date and addressing some little things on the car in preparation for next years car show season. I have been toying around with the idea of selling the car for the last couple months and wanted to throw a feeler out there so with out further ado…
2001 Laguna Seca Blue/Napa Black 153k miles on the chassis. This car is my baby and I have spared no expense on making sure it looks as fresh as possible.
Clean title and the Engine was replaced 3 months ago with a 75k mile engine out of an smg convertible donor. This was in part because the car never had its rod bearing recall performed and the bearings failed wiping the crank out with it. On to the New engine, I inspected the vanos, replaced the rod bearings with the treated Bimmerworld ones, Replaced the chain tensioners, performed a Valve adjustment and replaced all gaskets except the front cam chain cover and the head. Rear main seal, high cpv o-ring and oil distribution block along with 6 new intake gaskets have been replaced. Engine was broke in with 15w50 red line oil for 600 miles since the bottom end had new bearings. I then changed the oil again with Red Line 15w50. The diff and Tanny both had there fluids changed last month with Red Line as well. The MAF was also replaced last year along with the fuel pump, fuel filter, and the pressure regulator has also been replaced. The cars battery and alternator were replaced in March 2014. Both TPS sensors were also recently replaced about 2 months ago. Clutch and flywheel were upgraded at the same time the new to me engine was installed. While the engine was out I completely degreased the engine and repainted all engine components going back onto the engine . The front subframe was repainted all Using PPG high temp engine paints. Driver side mirror glass was replaced last week with euro glass with the concave due to the old one starting to rust. All interior pillars have also been replaced since last month AB and C.
This car has placed in almost every show it goes to which is an indication of how clean it has to stay.
Bad: which will get addressed
rear view mirror lost its mercury
slight rock chips on the hood around the kidneys and rear wheel arch(these have been addressed with dr. color chips rash kit. but obviously 5 inches away you can tell.
All pictures were taken within the last 3 months
