I am going to miss this one. No stories, no nonsense, a well-built, well-maintained machine. I’ve used this for auto-x and road race in the 4 months I’ve owned it and loved every second. She’s solid, fast, and reliable.
I’ve included the original post from the previous owner, but added my maintenance / mod list below it.
There are some minor exterior flaws, but no huge scratches, dings or dents. Most notably a clear blemish that sits on the rear quarter panel where the wing makes contact with it. It cannot be seen with the hatch closed. There is a hole in the rear bins which can be seen when you pull out the subwoofer board / cover, I used it to route cables until I purchased the enclosure and routed them under all the rear plastics. Getting some interference from the stereo, I probably need to isolate the ground, but it’s tolerable.
I’ll be replacing the A/C compressor and getting a recharge done as well. The A/C work great prior to the compressor giving out, but I’ll ensure it’s working properly for the new owner.
My biggest changes were to the interior, new door handles (I have a new from japan, oem mazda passenger piece with grip as well as an installed sakebomb handle), new gauge cluster/hood, new gauges, new center console, new a/c panel, customization by Toby Broadfield with the speedhut gauges (shipping week of 12/15, hoping for pics on 12/14), removing the quad pod, etc. The plan is to install of this stuff once it arrives, which should happen the week of the 22nd. Whether or not they are installed, I will include them with the sale of the vehicle. Stereo is using Focal AC series with a JL 10w3 and a Alpine PDX v9.
Speedhut with custom pod is Red Tach, other gauges are blackface / amber lettering. Fuel level, oil pressure, water temp, oil temp and GPS speedo. Added dummy led light, brake, turn signallights. Custom molded into new oem cluster pod.
Title is in hand – clean and clear.
If you’re looking at financing, check out Lightstream.com – awesome rates and deposit the cash same day. Doesn’t matter on year/make/model, it’s basically an unsecured loan with a low interest rate. I wouldn’t bother unless your FICO is over 700 and you make a decent income.
