You may have never heard of Bruce Canepa, a retired race car driver who most notably won 3rd place in the 1979 24 hours of Daytona. But you may have heard of the name “Canepa”, Bruce’s Canepa museum and motorsport garage in the redwood mountains – close to Santa Cruz. A popular cars and coffee destination for Bay Area, California car enthusiasts – the facility is car heaven on earth.
The Canepa museum specializes in concours-level restoration and race car preparation, and has seen some of the highest-valued cars in the world come through its doors. These are ultra-rare and special cars, the cars we dream about, the ones that you won’t ever see anywhere else but here.
So recently we took a drive down to the Canepa museum for a cars and coffee gathering and took a tour through the facility. These seem to be available on most weekends.
