Putting a feeler out there for my 1979 Malibu. Car has a 2008 LY6 6.0L (Square Port Heads), with an LS3 Camshaft/VVT delete. Vehicle body shows around 24k on the odometer last I checked. Car is immaculate inside and out for it’s age. Body appears to have been repainted by previous owner at some point, but appears to have been done by a professional as there are no real issues to point out. Body is straight and clean.
Interior is equally as impressive, however there is no heater/AC controls. I have them (they were provided with the car when I bought it) but haven’t bothered to install them. The Heater/AC box and Evap Core are all in the vehicle still, just need the controls installed and hooked up. Being as the car only sees car shows and street use, I never bothered with it as it didn’t bother me.
Drivetrain is as follows:
2008 LY6 6.0L, LS3 Camshaft
PSI Valve Springs
VVT Delete via LS3 Cam/timing cover
On3 Performance 78/76 MM turbo
Adjustable boost controller
Custom turbo kit with downpipe integrated wastegate, full single exhaust to rear axle with dump, Dynomax bullet muffler. All hotside is wrapped withDEI Lava Wrap.
Manual Brake conversion
31x12x4 Front mount intercooler, finished in matte black
Grand National Fuel tank with Racetronix Dual in tank pump setup, 2nd pump is activated via hobbs switch.
80lb/hr Siemens Dekka injectors
Built TH400 with full auto valve body, Jegs shifter
Neil Chance 3300 stall converter
12 bolt rear end, 3.73 gears, with UMI adjustable upper control arms
Mickey Thompson E/T Street Radials out back
Weld Racing (original USA produced) Wheels front/back
A Pillar pod with AEM Wideband
Boost/Oil/Water Temp gauges below the radio/Air Conditioning stack
Car has been running since mid summer, and has been to many cruises and car shows, as well as street encounters and events. It is fully tuned currently for 91 octane pump gas and 10psi of boost.
Car is an excellent example of the older Malibu’s. I do love it, but want to put a feeler out there for it. If the price is right, i’d let go of it finally. My plans are, if it still around come spring, i’ll continue into next year having my fun with it.
Asking $10,500.00 but I am negotiable for a serious buyer. Please, NO trades or requests to trade. Looking to sell outright.
Clean Kansas title, ready to sign over.
I can also deliver the vehicle via trailer within a reasonable distance from zip 67530 for a fee, depending on final offer price. Car can be driven/heard in person. Currently sits in climate controlled garage for the winter months.
